    Speller Metcalfe has undertaken another UK' first - Bartholomew Barn for King's Hawford School in Worcester. The Multi-Comfort building is a concept developed by Saint Gobain, which enhances the comfort of the building's users.

    The new build development is 450sqm is thermally efficient, acoustically comfortable and a healthy building for pupils and teachers - replacing the existing hall.

    The Barn is a multi-purpose sports and drama hall, used for games, assemblies, drama, music & dance and external lettings;. The unique design and character of The Barn, will adhere to Passivhaus standards (which the Multi-Comfort standard incorporates and exceeds), meaning it has been independently certified to have:

    • excellent thermal insulation standards
    • building airtightness and filtered heat-recovery ventilation
    • enhanced acoustics
    • enhanced day lighting
